A marionette drama based on Jemal Karchkhadze’s story “Igi”. This is a story about a primitive man who was sentenced to death for being the first.
“Different” is a marionette performance based on the prehistoric novella “IGI” by the renowned Georgian writer Jemal Karchkhadze. The story follows a primitive man who becomes the first in his tribe to experience evolution: he straightens his back, lifts his gaze to the sky, begins to think, to feel, and for the first time discovers love. As he starts to understand himself and the world around him, his transformation frightens the tribe and its leader.
The performance runs 35 minutes.
Realistic scenery and human‑like puppets together create a magical fusion of animated film aesthetics and live theatre, bringing Karchkhadze’s philosophical world to life on stage.
